It is often said that you shouldn't revisit a watercolour painting and alter it. Usually a good sentiment but occasionally it is worth having a go. Here I painted a subject for possibly the 30th time, it's a scene I like very much: St Martin's Lane in London. The initial work was too blue and hard so I warmed up the cool and softened the hard parts to create, what might be an improved version.

I was contacted late last year with a request for a painting of industrial Pittsburg. With some pleasant conversation and a few preliminary sketches, I produced this 22'x15" painting for my client. 

From mid January this year, my wife and I spent a couple of enjoyable months in Aosta, Italy. Primarily to ski, but with time to paint as well, I managed to paint a few passable little pieces.

With the reopening of France after recent events, a French outfit with which I'm associated, has decided to put some of my work in one of their galleries a Bourge. Below is a small selection of the work. Tres Bon!
