It is often said that you shouldn't revisit a watercolour painting and alter it. Usually a good sentiment but occasionally it is worth having a go. Here I painted a subject for possibly the 30th time, it's a scene I like very much: St Martin's Lane in London. The initial work was too blue and hard so I warmed up the cool and softened the hard parts to create, what might be an improved version.
