A busy week in the studio painting ponds, a road, a tractor and one of Berlin from 2017. My painting of Ely Cathedral adorning the cover of the Cambridge University Press Bible. Rather chuffed. CUP contacted me, bought the painting and the rights to use it. Also a pond and a commission of Haigh Hall. 2020 has been a strange year, the events of which have challenged even the most resilient of us. Here's looking forward to 2021, and please [insert deity of your choice] don't let it be as weird as 2020. I'm not superstitious but believe that owning a Henry Jones Watercolours 2021 calendar may ward off all manner of unexpected lurgys and peculiar elections. Taking the car, a sketchbook, with only the first two nights booked, a thoroughly enjoyable tour of the SW and SE followed. |
